对老一代来说，他们倾向于在孩子犯错误的时候进行体罚。他们认为教育孩子的最好方法是威胁他们，然后纠正错误的'行为。但是老一套教育孩子的方法已经过时了，最好是引导孩子们意识到自己的错误会带来怎样可怕的后果。成年人培养孩子的方式会决定孩子长大后的个性。暴力不能解决问题，只会带来更多消极的方面。因此我们需要理智而不是情绪化。
